I’m so glad you and your husband enjoyed the penne! Using smoked ham and orecchiette pasta sounds delicious, and adding the ham juice must have added great flavor. Thanks for sharing your variations!

My husband and I really enjoyed this recipe. I used leftover smoked ham and it was really tasty! I used orecchiette pasta and half heavy cream and half 2% milk. I also added the ham juice that was in the bottom of the container of the leftover ham.

This was excellent and helped use up leftover ham. Pretty easy, also. Definitely will make again. My daughter asked for the recipe.

Great recipe to use up leftover ham. I have 9 kids still at home and they killed a double batch. Excellent recipe, thanks!

To reheat this, preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). If the dish is still frozen, it may take about 45 minutes to an hour to heat through. If you’ve thawed it in the refrigerator, it should take about 30 minutes.
